At ACES Delta, we’re moving the boundaries of renewable energy to achieve a safer, more reliable, lower carbon future in multiple energy sectors. Because to power a brighter future, bold moves are needed today.
The Inflation Reduction Act - Incentivizing the advancement of hydrogen and a lower carbon future
The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) of 2022 is the single largest investment in climate and energy in American history, enabling lower energy costs and incentivizing the adoption of lower carbon energy technology to advance human prosperity. The IRA will provide federal incentives for companies to advance and expand their investments in energy infrastructure including deploying utility-scale hydrogen, both as energy storage and a fuel. A deeper dive into the IRA tax credit program and the four primary pillars of benefit for power producers:
Provides long-term incentives for capital investment in energy infrastructure
Adds new tax incentives for energy production and investment, including hydrogen
Fundamentally transitions the tax code toward a technology-neutral approach to energy production and investment
A Lower Carbon Future
The renewable energy revolution has begun. As countries and communities around the globe set ambitious targets to reach net-zero by 2050, renewables are indispensable to the energy transition. But the dependability and reliability of intermittent renewables continues to be an industry concern—until now.
Our Advanced Clean Energy Storage hub enables utility and industrial scale hydrogen production from renewable energy sources and stores the hydrogen in underground salt dome caverns to provide a huge reservoir of renewable fuel for power generation when wind and solar power generation fall short of demand. Located in Delta, Utah, the Advanced Clean Energy Storage hub will help lead the path toward a lower carbon future.
Reliable and Dispatchable Energy Provider
A joint venture between Chevron U.S.A. and Mitsubishi Power, with Chevron as a majority owner, ACES Delta is aiming to advance energy options for the United States.
WE ARE BUILDING A RENEWABLE ENERGY Site
Beginning with our flagship site in Delta, Utah, we are expanding America’s next frontier of lower carbon energy to convert to hydrogen through the electrolysis process, store, and deliver green hydrogen throughout the United States.
our impact
The Advanced Clean Energy storage Site will provide an end-to-end solution to convert to hydrogen through the electrolysis process, store, and deliver lower carbon energy annually to the Western United States.
RELIABLE
Our solutions enable storage of renewable energy for hours to unprecedented long-term durations of months.
RENEWABLE
Our innovative generation and storage technologies enable consistent, uninterrupted, and dispatchable renewable energy.
SCALABLE
The Advanced Clean Energy Storage Site is the first facility to combine utility and industrial scale renewable hydrogen production, storage, and transmission.
